Job Title: Research Consultant - Philippines (Part-Time)
Reports to: Program Manager - Philippines
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) is seeking a part-time Research Consultant in the Philippines with experience in qualitative research (such as interviews and case studies). The preferred candidate has a degree in social sciences, law, or a related field. Experience in law enforcement or judicial processes, as well as familiarity with child protection and the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) law, are advantages.
The project is aimed at improving the legal and operational processes for rescuing victims of online child sexual exploitation. Preference will be given to candidates with excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in stakeholder engagement.
The Research Consultant position is remote. However, candidates must be located in the Philippines for in-person meetings and local travel. The position will require 20 days per month.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, law, or a related field required
Experience in qualitative research (interviews, surveys, case studies). An advantage if research or work experience is in law enforcement or judicial process
Knowledge of Anti-OSAEC Law and child protection is an advantage
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
Some local travel may be required.
HOURS and SCHEDULE:
20 days per month / Remote, but the candidate must be located in the Philippines for in-person meetings and local travel.
