<p><strong>Professor - Computer Engineering or aligned branches</strong></p><p>Reports to - Head of Department</p><p>Job purpose</p><p> Overall responsibility of Academics and Research Activities</p><p>Duties and responsibilities</p><p> Design and development of the overall curriculam as per the current needs.</p><p> Develop innovative approaches to course design and deliver a range of courses at various levels including preparation of course plan, effective conduction of lectures and maintain attendance.</p><p> Deliver knowledge including practical skills, methods and techniques.</p><p> Set and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students.</p><p> Maintain the quality records related to the academics as well as portfolio.</p><p> Supervise student projects, field trips and, where appropriate, placements.</p><p> Ensuring that the related lab equipment are maintained.</p><p> Contribution in lab development activities.</p><p> Ensure that teaching design and delivery act in accordance with the quality and standards of the institute.</p><p> Coordinate with the other faculty members for various departmental or institute level activities.</p><p> Contribute in development and implementation of research and development strategy.</p><p> Publishing research work in peer reviewed SCOPUS / SCI / Web of Science Indexed journals.</p><p> Prepare research proposals and fetching funds from various funding agencies.</p><p> Acquiring funds from different societies / schemes</p><p> Enhancing skills by attending workshops / FDPs / Industrial training and MOOC courses.</p><p> Organising Conference / Workshop / Seminar in collaboration with SPPU, ISTE, AICTE etc.</p><p> Contribution in outreach activities, consultancy, Industry collaboration and product development.</p><p> Involvement in the School’s other activities.</p><p> In the absence of School Dean, if given the charge, carry out routine activities of the school.</p><p> Any other task assigned by management of the institute from time to time.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>Ph.D. in Engineering in the disciplines of Chemical / Computer / Civil / Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication / Electronics/ Information Technology / Mechanical.</p><p>Essential requirements:</p><p> BE/B.Tech & ME/ M.Tech in relevant branch with 1st class, PhD in appropriate discipline.</p><p> Post PhD publications and guiding PhD students is highly desirable. Minimum of 10 years teaching/ research /industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate professor or Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or Research and /or Industry.</p><p> If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising/ designing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books/ research paper publications / IPR/ patents, etc.</p><p> An intellectual leader with a demonstrated track record showing distinguished teaching, research, and scholarly publications that exhibit a balanced commitment to academic excellence.</p><p> A person of high energy, absolute integrity, enthusiastic optimism and the perseverance to bring initiatives to fruition.</p>
