Podcast Post-Production Editor for Labor Union (Video + Audio)

We are seeking a talented and experienced individual or team to support the post-production needs of a podcast recorded via Streamyard. This project is for a labor union dedicated to advocacy, transparency, and empowering its members. The podcast features conversations related to federal service, public policy, and labor rights.

The ideal candidate will handle both video and audio editing, ensuring each episode is polished, professional, and optimized for distribution on YouTube, Spotify, and other platforms. Affordability is a top priority, and we are open to international freelancers as long as you can communicate effectively in English and meet deadlines. High ratings and a strong track record on Upwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

-Edit podcast episodes recorded via Streamyard for video release on YouTube (includes trimming, transitions, lower thirds, title screens, audio sync, etc.).

-Clean and master audio tracks for podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, etc.).

-Export and deliver final video and audio files in platform-ready formats (MP4 for video, MP3/WAV for audio).

-Incorporate intros, outros, theme music, and branding assets provided.

-Ensure consistent volume levels, clear dialogue, and professional audio quality throughout.

-Manage metadata, ID3 tags, and episode formatting for audio uploads.

-(Optional) Assist with podcast syndication to platforms beyond Spotify using tools like RSS feeds or podcast distribution services.

Sample Task for Consideration:

Please provide a podcast or video episode you've edited. Preferably include both video (YouTube-ready) and audio (podcast-ready) examples.

Requirements:

-Demonstrated experience editing podcast and video interview content.

-Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.

-Proficiency in Adobe Audition or similar DAWs (e.g., Audacity, Reaper) for audio cleanup and mastering.

-Ability to sync multi-source audio/video, remove background noise, and normalize levels.

-Strong understanding of encoding formats and export settings (e.g., bitrate, resolution, file size optimization).

-Familiarity with uploading and formatting content for YouTube and Spotify.

Preferred Qualifications:

-High Upwork rating with multiple completed contracts.

-Proficient in motion graphics and overlays (using tools such as After Effects or built-in Premiere functions).

-Knowledge of podcast syndication tools (e.g., Anchor, Podbean, RSS.com, or custom RSS feed management).

-Experience working with audio plugins (EQ, compression, de-essing, noise reduction).

-Efficient editing workflow and ability to deliver on short timelines.

Submission Requirements:

-Portfolio examples of podcast and video editing work.

-A short overview of your tools, editing process, and typical turnaround time.

-Mention whether you can assist with cross-platform podcast distribution.

Budget:

We are price-sensitive and seek the best value for quality work. We prefer to work with contractors who offer competitive pricing while maintaining high production standards. Freelancers outside the U.S. are encouraged to apply, as long as communication and delivery meet expectations.
