Coordinator, Air Import

To plan, organize and control air operation activities, to ensure proper control and compliance in place during various stages including input, movement, process / sort, and output of all the air operation documents, to meet high service quality requirements at minimal cost.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate shipment pre-alerts with origin office;
  • Communicate with carriers for shipment arrival;
  • Keep the customers updated on their shipment status;
  • Declare customs permit (preferred);
  • Liaise with customers to arrange delivery;
  • Update key milestones in the operations system in timely and accurate manner;
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE

Academic:

  • GCE ā€˜Oā€™ Level and above

Ā 

Experience & knowledge:

  • At least two (2) yearsā€™ experience in customer service/operations in freight forwarding industry
  • Extensive experience in freight forwarding industry and strong understanding of local compliance requirements;
  • Knowledge of operational requirements from customers, agents and sister offices as well as financial processes among them;
  • Familiar with workflow of airlines, cargo terminals, cross border trucking services and co-loaders;
  • Basic accounting knowledge is required;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications;
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin and local languages (to be able to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates)
