Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
On-wing / Reliability Technical Support
Performs root cause analysis for delays/cancellations for engine reliability drivers; e.g. inspections/modifications and recommends cost effective reliability solutions
Supports the On-Wing Propulsion Engineering team with review of new Airworthiness Directives, OEM Service Bulletins and Service Information Letters for impact to Delta
Develops Engineering Orders to implement inspections, repairs and modifications, and provides budget impact analysis to meet internal funding requirements
Supports analysis of on-wing engine core technical performance and develops recommendations for operational improvements
Performs Weibull analysis for engine LRU component drivers and recommends soft times or other maintenance controls
Evaluates maintenance procedures for effectiveness and recommends changes to improve outcomes
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
Bachelor of Engineering Degree (aerospace or mechanical preferred) or comparable experience in an engineering related discipline.
Should have a technical knowledge of aircraft engines, engine shop processes, engine manuals and standards, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with the repair or design of gas turbine or turbofan engines.
Previous Airline, OEM or MRO experience with commercial aircraft engines.
Familiarity with airline flight operations and support system.
